Delta Management Group Corporation is a boutique search firm with a long history in building computer networking sales organizations, and a growing practice in clean tech, corporate social responsibility and sustainability professionals. Formed in 1992, Delta has a long track record of building truly exceptional teams, and working closely with clients’ management teams on a long-term basis as a trusted advisor and true business partner. Many of our clients today are people with whom we have had a relationship since the early ’90s.

Based at Bay & Bloor in mid-town Toronto, we fill roles across Canada, and welcome enquiries from potential clients or candidates.

The company’s unique value proposition is in its ability to dramatically reduce the number of interviews required to find and land the best available candidate, and to virtually eliminate turnover in the following 12 months.

Our results are pretty spectacular. On average, 50% of the candidates Delta puts forward for a role get hired. Of those hired, over 95% remain in place for over a year, and our average candidate’s stay with a client exceeds five years. Our time to identify the successful candidate is typically under 3 weeks from start of search — and often half that.

Compare this with the industry average of a 10% interview-hiring rate, and dramatically higher turnover.

Why it’s important: Your time is incredibly valuable — and an empty spot on the roster costs you time — and money. In fact, assuming a $5 million sales quota and a margin of 50% or better, every single day a sales role is open costs your top line over $22,500 and your bottom line over $11,000. Leaving a position open a day longer than necessary has measurable impact on the bottom line.

Hiring the wrong person is even more expensive — a blow to earnings, reputation with customers — and the prospective loss of future business that could have been yours.

If you are hiring a Sustainability professional whose mandate it is to generate at least a million dollars in cost reduction each year, every single day the role is open costs the company over $4,500 — foregone savings at a rate of $22,700+ for each and every week.

Then there’s the opportunity cost of every wasted interview you are forced to do — time you only get back by staying late — or dropping a different ball.

Delta’s unique process eliminates wasted interviews, assures incredibly well qualified candidates, virtually eliminates failed hires, and has measurable impact on your results.

If you want to improve your staffing track record, please call me to discuss how we might propose to help you create a more effective way forward.
